Murano Island and a gondola ride!

First week into this Italian Summer dream, and if you have read my latest post you know how this dreamy trip started.
So to continue with this first week in Venetians waters, we head on the second day to Murano Island where all the colorful "murano glass" comes from:

Above you can see a view of Venice "harbor" where you take the ferries to different canals and Islands.

The Island of Murano is well known for its long tradition of glass making. Ferries loaded with tourists come every year to explore the Museo del Vetro which shows the story of glass through the centuries. Also is the best island to shop for local souvenirs, my favorite were the murano glass jewelry!
Here it is Murano Island for you, you could spend a whole day walking around this colorful little Island.

Excuse the lady bomb on the right! lol

For more photos about this day in Murano head to my Instagram account and scroll all the way down till you see Venetian waters :)
After spending a whole day exploring this "glass" colorful Island the next day we went back to Piazza San Marco in Venice to keep showing my mamma this dreamy Veneto city and get a ride on a Gondola with a very romantic driver lol who normally will serenade you some Opera.
A gondola ride for 30 minutes starts around $80 dollars and up. Enjoy this ride!!!

Hope you all enjoy this beautiful ride around Venice and stay tuned because next we are taking a long weekend in Paris!!!
